Sixth Form do their sums!

Sixth Form recently took part in a competition organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Mr Verran comments, ‘students took on the role of chartered accountants assessing the affairs of a fictional jewellers and pawnbroking chain.  Throughout the task students were were faced a series of incidents in which their decisions would affect the future of the jewellers.  Students then presented back their financial assessment of the jewellers  to competition judges giving reasons why they chose to make often difficult decisions in the task.  The students presented excellently and showed that they had a real understanding of business and finance.  They were also given a grilling by the competition judges which they faced superbly.’
